Addiction can be defined as a chosen activity that has negative consequences on the physical and mental health of an individual and which is engaged in persistently, despite a full awareness of the negative consequences. In short, eating too much of the wrong kind of food is a habit that hurts.
If you are a food addict, then you are choosing to eat food ingredients that you know have a detrimental effect on your physical and emotional well being. In full knowledge of that fact, you go on eating them. In fact, you feel a craving to eat them. You feel unable to stop eating them once you start. You know that to give them up completely and forever would be impossible for you. In fact, your life is being shortened by your addiction to certain foods. You are eating to die. All addiction is slow suicide and so is addiction to food.
Food addicts are most likely to be addicted to sugar, cow's milk, wheat, and potatoes. These are the Four Zero Foods. Many people have tried a wheat-free diet, a dairy-free diet or a sugar-free diet, but few people have tried a three-week diet that eliminates all traces of these, plus potatoes! The result of this brief experience is extraordinary. It goes right to the heart of your addiction to food. It enables you to pinpoint the food ingredients that set your appetite into overdrive.
It is a revelation to try it, even for a few days! Your food addictions will be clearly defined within a week or two:- then you can start eating to live.
